Yarraville VFA 1977 - 1980
A huge sponsorship took Yarraville from the bottom in 1976 to the top of the ladder in 1977 with David Thorpe as captain coach. Stars included Kevin Sait, Grant Simmons and George Bisset. The opening game of 1979 saw Yarraville kick 15 goals in 15 minutes to start another great season with captain coach Denis Pagan from North Melbourne. The Reserves won premierships in 1977 and 1979.
